Pulp is the core business of Altri and the focus is on bleached eucalyptus pulp. Altri has three pulp mills located in Portugal. The types of pulp produced in the mills have a wide range of applications and are acknowledged by the market as being of high quality. The main applications are printing and writing paper and tissue.

Altri exports more than 90% of its pulp to the European market.

Celbi

Celbi is a worldwide reference in bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (BEKP) being one of the most efficient mills in Europe. Currently Celbi has an annual production capacity around 600,000 following the expansion plan concluded in 2Q09. The learning curve was concluded during 3Q10. The whole production is market pulp.

Caima

Caima Mill produces Totally Chloride Free (TCF) bleached hardwood sulphite pulp. The whole production is market pulp and around 95% of its annual output of 120,000 tones is sold in the European market.

Celtejo

Celtejo produces bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (BEKP) with an annual capacity of 150,000 tones. In 2008 this mill was transformed from unbleached softwood pulp to bleached eucalyptus. Currently the total output is market pulp.
